USB-IR-Boy - Home made USB infrared receiver
Overview
USB-IR-Boy is LIRC compatible USB bus
infrared receiver hardware using Motorola MC68HC908JB8JPE MCU.
This project aims to be the new standard home made IR receiver with low cost for all PC hardware that has USB.
New PC hardware do not necessarily include RS232 port anymore and use of standard RS232 port IR hardware is not anymore possible.
This project is also great for "xbox for media playing" projects because xbox do not have RS232 at all.
Project covers GPL lisenced complete system including electornic scemantics, MCU program and lircd compatible kernel module.
